Hi, I'm a drummer and graduating from Lemmensinstituut for a degree in teaching an for that I'm making a scription on Balinese music. As a jazzmucician I find it intresting to look for collaborations between jazz and gamelan. But unfortunatelly there's not much to find. I saw you guys are doing this gamelanproject. but i could recommend you one book written by catherine basset
' musiques de bali à java, l'ordre et la fête', the best one i've read on the subject...it is edited by cité de la musique/actes sud

reagrding our 'gamelan' project we did with ictus a few months ago, hopefully in a near future we'll be able to put some audio files of the concert on the website

nothing very clear yet regarding the workshop at the KVS... We are also going to make live recordings during that week, and they will be open to the public as well, so keep posted, more info will be available soon I guess...
